BOSELLI, BRUNELL HELD OUT OF PRACTICE

The Jacksonville Jaguars went through an afternoon practice at

Ferrell Fields today, with quarterback Mark Brunell and offensive

tackle Tony Boselli held out.

Boselli has been nursing a bruised knee, and Coughlin said if he

doesn't practice on Thursday he most likely would not play Saturday

night against the New York Giants. Brunell had some tightness in

his groin, causing him to miss the practice. "He was uncomfortable

in some of his sets, so we decided not to take a chance on doing any

more damage," said Coughlin.

Of first-round draft choice Fernando Bryant, who signed on August

9, Coughlin said, "He's progressing. The more work he gets, the

more confidence he gets. He has made good strides this week. This

is the week I've noticed him more than any other."

The team will go through its final day of two-a-day practices on

Thursday. Before leaving for New York on Friday, the team will

have a closed walk-through. The Jaguars and Giants will play at

7:00 p.m. Saturday at Giants Stadium, the fourth time they have

faced in the preseason in five years.

The final day of training camp will be Monday, August 23, with a

3:20 p.m. practice scheduled. That will be the final practice that is

open to the public this season.
