(on falling out of the first round) "I have no idea, the draft works in mysterious ways. I thought I was going to go 21st to the Jaguars in the first round, or the first pick of the Falcons at 27th or the Chargers at 28th. In the end it doesn't matter where you come in here in the NFL, it matters when you leave. If I can leave after I sign a couple of contracts and make a little more money, then I won't be mad at what happen. Whatever reason why I fell it's in the past, I can't justify what happened there. But I'm excited to be drafted in the second round by the Jaguars. I think they're a great team, and I'm happy to be playing for them next season."
(did it bother you that you fell?) "Yes it bothers me a little bit, because I think there were a few players that I could of moved in there in front of. It happens in every draft. The only thing that I can do is go out there and play, and play out my contract and re-sign to the Jacksonville Jaguars like I want to be. Re-sign to a second and maybe a third contract playing with Jacksonville and maybe win a couple of championships. I just feel great about going to that organization. I think Byron Leftwich is a great quarterback and one of my ex-teammates Reggie Williams is a great receiver and they have Fred Taylor in the backfield. I'm happy to be going to Jacksonville. Regardless of falling to the second round, stuff happens and what are you going to do about it."
(on if he came to Jacksonville for a visit) "No I didn't. Offensive line coach Paul Boudreau came out and worked me out on my pro day. I also saw them at the combine and the Senior Bowl."
(on his relationship with WR Reggie Williams) "I'm really good friends with him. That's another reason why I'm happy to be going to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Reggie's one of my good friends. He's a player that is going to bring it all not only on gameday, but on the practice field as well. I think he's going to be one of the best players in this league.
(on whether he expects to come in and start) "It's an opportunity. I'm coming in as a second round pick, there's no guarantee. You have to come in and earn the respect of the veterans. I'm going to come in and try to do that. If I can't start this year, then I'm going to try to come in and start the following year. Regardless of the reason, I know the Jaguars drafted me for a reason and that's to play tackle and that's what I know how to do. Regardless of what I have to do, watch film, study tape, more hours after practice that's what I'm going to do. I want to be one of the best tackles in Jacksonville history."
