JACKSONVILLE – A-Rob will play for Team Irvin.
Allen Robinson, the Jaguars' second-year wide receiver, on Wednesday night was selected by Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin to play for Team Irvin in the 2016 Pro Bowl. The game will be played Sunday at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Irvin selected one team for the Pro Bowl, with Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice selecting the other. The "draft" for the game was televised on ESPN2.
Robinson caught 80 passes for 1,400 yards and a franchise-record 14 touchdowns this past season.
Robinson, a second-round selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, made the Pro Bowl for the first time this year. His receiving yards were the second-most in franchise history behind Jimmy Smith's 1,636 in 1999 and his 17.5-yards-per-reception average led all NFL receivers with 80 or more receptions by more than two yards.
