Community Champion: Michele McManamon, Operation New Uniform
During the third quarter of the game, the Jaguars honored Michele McManamon, the Chief Executive Officer of Operation New Uniform (ONU), as the Jaguars' Community Champion of the Game, presented by Florida Blue. McManamon co-founded ONU in 2014 to provide essential resources and skills for transitioning veterans and their spouses to civilian life, emphasizing the importance of starting their professional careers. Headquartered in Jacksonville, ONU has supported the successful transitions of over 500 veterans and their spouses across the United States through its educational programs.
Community Champion: Michelle McGriff, Tom Coughlin Jay Fund
During the third quarter, the Jaguars honored Michelle McGriff of the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation as the Jaguars' Community Champion of the game, presented by Florida Blue. With more than 20 years of nonprofit and community engagement work, McGriff has dedicated her career to bettering communities in Northeast Florida with a particular focus on public education. Her role as an ambassador to the Jay Fund liaises the foundation with families in the Greater Jacksonville area.
Jaguars In The Community: Buster Ford Checkerboard Park Clean Up
Volunteers from VyStar Credit Union and the Jaguars teamed up with Florida Avenue, Main Street and OutEast residents to tackle phase three of the transformation of Buster Ford Checkerboard Park, located in the Historic Eastside community. Volunteers planted 280 plants and flowers, laid 95 units of mulch and gravel, and cleaned storefronts along the APR corridor!
Jaguars Host First Ever Sight For Kids Spooktacular
The Jaguars Foundation hosted a Spooktacular event for over 500 kids to celebrate the Halloween season. Through our partnership with Johnson & Johnson kids began with an eye exam then continued through an epic maze, pizza party, face paint, games and of course ended with some trick or treating. WR Parker Washington, QB Mac Jones and more Jaguars players even made a special appearance for a very memorable night of health and fun.
Literacy Locker Room: Beauclerc Elementary
Making an impact. Cornerback Tyson Campbell joined Jaxson De Ville and the ROAR at Beauclerc Elementary for a special read of Papa's Mechanical Fish with the goal of expanding literacy education to our local schools.
