JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars stayed defensive as Saturday continued.
They did so by again addressing the secondary by adding depth at the cornerback position.
De'Antre Prince, a cornerback from Ole Miss, on Saturday was selected by the Jaguars No. 153 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft – the 18th selection of Round 5.
Prince (6-feet-0, 183 pounds), a two-year starter at Ole Miss, started at Mississippi before transferring to Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2020. He returned to Ole Miss in 2021.
He registered 36 tackles in 2023 with five tackles for loss, a sack, five pass breakups, a forced fumble and an interception. He participated in the NFL Scouting Combine and the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl.
Prince started 36 games in four seasons for Ole Miss with six career interceptions.
Prince became the second Ole Miss player selected by the Jaguars in the NFL Draft, the first since running back Snooper Conner (Round 5, 2022).
