JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed WR Laquon Treadwell, the team announced today. To make room for Treadwell on the 90-man roster, the Jaguars have waived WR Jon'Vea Johnson.
Treadwell, 6-2, 215, enters his sixth season in the NFL after being initially selected by the Vikings in the first round (No. 23 overall) of the 2016 draft. He has played in 58 games – 53 with Minnesota and five with the Atlanta. In his five seasons, Treadwell has recorded 71 receptions for 750 yards and four touchdowns.
Originally from Crete, Ill., Treadwell attended Ole Miss from 2013-15. Treadwell registered a school-record 202 receptions for 2,393 yards and 21 TDs in his collegiate career, including 82 receptions for 1,153 yards and 11 TDs en route to First-Team All-SEC and Third-Team All-American honors in 2015.
