JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars continue to address special teams.
Joey Slye, a kicker with five seasons of NFL experience, has signed with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent. The team announced the move Monday morning.
Slye, who kicked for the Washington Commanders the past two seasons, kicked for the Carolina Panthers in 2019-2020 and kicked for three teams – the Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Commanders – in 2021.
He has converted 121 of 147 career field goals – 20 of 32 from 50 yards or more – and 138 of 156 career extra points. He converted 19 of 24 field goals – three of five from 50 yards or more – and 32 of 35 extra points in 2023.
The Jaguars earlier this offseason signed kicker Riley Patterson, who kicked for the team in 2022. Brandon McManus, their kicker in 2023, signed last week with the Commanders as an unrestricted free agent.
The Jaguars last week signed wide receiver/returner Devin Duvernay from the Baltimore Ravens as an unrestricted free agent.
