The Jacksonville Jaguars released veteran cornerback William James and first-year tight end Charles Davis today.
James, a third-round draft pick of the New York Giants in 2001, was signed by the Jaguars as a veteran free agent on September 1, 2008 and played in eight games with one start last season. Davis has spent parts of the last two seasons on the Jaguars' practice squad after signing on December 13, 2007.
