JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –The Jacksonville Jaguars have promoted second-year LB Deon King to the active roster, the club announced today. To make room on the roster, the Jaguars waived rookie WR Montay Crockett.
King, who has appeared in 15 career games, including nine with Cleveland this season, has also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, the Los Angeles Chargers and the Indianapolis Colts before signing to the Jaguars practice squad on Dec. 23, 2017. He attended Norfolk State University and led all Division I players with 163 total tackles in 2015. A native of Reston, Va., King attended Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy and South Lakes High School and recorded more than 100 tackles and 10.0 sacks as a senior.
King will wear No. 58 for the Jaguars.
