JACKSONVILLE – Yannick Ngakoue is getting overlooked less and less.
A lot less, actually.
Ngakoue, who has talked often of his desire to earn respect as one of the NFL's best defensive players, on Monday took yet another step toward that.
Ngakoue, a third-round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft and a Pro Bowl defensive end this past season, on Monday was named to the NFL Network's list of the NFL's Top 100 players for 2018. Ngakoue was No. 88 on the 2018 list.
Ngakoue, a starter in each of his two seasons with the Jaguars, has registered 20 sacks in two NFL seasons with 10 forced fumbles. He registered 12 sacks with six forced fumbles this past season after registering a Jaguars rookie record eight sacks with four forced fumbles as a rookie.
