Alexis waived, Hunter signed

The Jaguars made two roster moves today, waiving running back Rich Alexis and signing offensive tackle Wayne Hunter from the practice squad. Hunter had spent the entire season on the Jaguars practice squad.

Alexis, 25, was activated from the practice squad and played in one game recording three carries for five yards. He was originally signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted rookie out of Washington in 2004. The 6-0, 213-pound running back played in three games in 2005, including the postseason game at New England after spending almost all of his rookie season on the practice squad.

Hunter, 25, has spent the entire season on the Jaguars practice squad in 2006 after being claimed off waivers from Seattle on May 21. The 6-5, 303-pound offensive tackle spent three seasons in Seattle and has played in one game after being selected in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Hawaii. He was a college teammate with current Jaguars offensive lineman Vince Manuwai.
