The 85th NFL Draft kicks off Thursday evening at 8 p.m. in the first-ever fully virtual format, and Jaguars fans will be able to celebrate the newest additions to the team all week long on nearly every platform available. The team will provide comprehensive coverage of each selection across social media and via Jaguars.com, the official Jaguars mobile app, CBS47, FOX30 and 1010 XL radio (1010 AM / 92.5 FM).
Pre-Draft Predictions
The Jaguars enter the 2020 NFL Draft with a franchise-record 12 total draft selections, including the ninth and 20th overall picks. Predictions start early on 1010XL and Jaguars.com Thursday with Jaguars Happy Hour at 4 p.m. followed by the Jaguars Radio Draft Show at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m., fans can tune into FOX30 for the "Action Sports Jax 2020 Draft Show," a one-hour pre-draft show leading right up to the start of the clock. They'll have a behind-the scenes look at the technology behind the virtual draft, interviews with football leadership and a look at local First Coast draft prospects.
Virtual Draft Party
Jaguars fans are invited to the team's virtual draft party by joining the "DUUUVAL Draft Night IG Live Countdown" presented by Travelcamp on Thursday night via Instagram Live from 7 – 8 p.m. Hosted by Jaguars fan and local entertainer Eric V. Dunn, special guests scheduled to appear include Jaguars Head Coach Doug Marrone, Pro Bowl WR DJ Chark Jr., a pair of legendary former Jaguars running backs, Fred Taylorand Maurice Jones Drew, as well as two record-setting kickers for the team, Josh Lambo and Josh Scobee. Fans joining in the live Instagram broadcast will have the chance to win exclusive prizes including Bose headphones and VIP experiences for this upcoming season.
Post-Pick Analysis
The Jaguars digital network will provide instant analysis and exclusive behind-the-scenes access to each selection throughout the weekend. Fans can catch the first local interview with each of the newest Jaguars via Jaguars.com, the official mobile app, Facebook and Twitter along with comments from General Manager Dave Caldwell and Head Coach Doug Marrone and a peek inside the team's virtual war rooms.
DUUUVAL Fan Engagement Opportunities
Despite the fully-virtual draft experience, Jaguars fans will still be featured as part of this week's broadcast reacting to the team's picks. The NFL has invited 15 season ticket members each evening to participate in the "Inner Circle" and have the chance to appear on the broadcast once the Jaguars are on the clock and immediately after the pick. In addition, fans are encouraged to join the NFL Draft-A-Thon, a massive fundraising campaign during the 2020 NFL Draft aimed at raising much-needed funds for COVID-19 relief efforts.
