Trip MacCracken is in his fourth season with the Jacksonville Jaguars as the team's director of player finance. He previously served as the team's director of roster management from 2021-22.
MacCracken enters his 23rd season in professional football, last serving in the NFL from 2010-17 as the director of football administration for the Kansas City Chiefs. Most recently he served as the director of player personnel for both the XFL's New York Guardians in 2020 and the Arizona Hotshots (AAF) in 2019. He also worked as a college scout for the Reese's Senior Bowl in the fall of 2017 and spring of 2018.
Prior to his time in Kansas City, he was the director of football administration from 1999-2009 for the Cleveland Browns, where his duties included contract negotiations and salary cap management, in addition to other responsibilities in football operations. Prior to his time in the NFL, MacCracken completed an internship at the NFL Management Council in 1998.
A native of Hudson, Ohio, MacCracken attended Hawken School in Gates Mills, Ohio. He earned a degree from the Duke University School of Law after graduating cum laude from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. He and his wife, Beth, have three children: AJ, Ellie, and Tristan.
