Ryan Paganetti enters his third season with the Jacksonville Jaguars as Director of Football Analytics. Paganetti spent the 2015-2020 NFL seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles working in coaching analytics as well as assisting with the Eagles LBs.
During Doug Pederson's five year tenure as head coach, Paganetti conducted research and analysis to assist the team's effort in game planning and game management decisions. He served all five seasons as the team's game manager, communicating data driven information during games to assist the head coach with critical decision making, including fourth downs, two-point conversions, and clock management. In Pederson's five year stretch, the Eagles led the NFL in total fourth down attempts by 20%, and led the NFL in two-point conversion attempts by 60%. This includes converting two fourth downs in the team's Super Bowl championship against New England.
Paganetti originally started working with the linebackers in 2017 as a coaching assistant, before later being promoted to Assistant Linebackers Coach/Game Management. During his stretch working with the defense, the team ranked third in third-down defense (35.9 percent), sixth in red-zone defense (52.7 percent), third in rushing defense (99.1 yards per game) and seventh in sacks (208). In the 2020 season, undrafted linebacker Alex Singleton finished with 120 tackles in only 11 starts.
Prior to entering the NFL, Paganetti spent three seasons (2012-2014) as an assistant coach at the Belmont Hill School. The Bedford, Ma. native played running back at Dartmouth college and graduated with a degree in economics.
