Peter Draovitch was hired as the Jaguars athletic performance specialist/associate athletic trainer and physical therapist in April 2019. In his current role, Draovitch assists the medical staff as well as the strength and conditioning staff and works closely with injured players and their rehabilitation programs.
Prior to working for the Jaguars, Draovitch spent six seasons (2013-18) with the New York Rangers as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. While with the Rangers, Draovitchworked closely under Strength and Conditioning Coach Reg Grant. In addition, he worked closely with Head Athletic Trainer Jim Ramsay with rehab programs while the Rangers were on the road.
In addition to his work with the Rangers, Draovitch served as a clinical supervisor in the sports rehabilitation department at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. His experience includes working with athletes from the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB and the PGA Tour.
Draovitch graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical education from Gettysburg College and a master's degree from the University of Delaware in physical education/sports medicine where he was also a graduate assistant football coach. He also earned a master's degree in physical therapy at the University of Miami in 1989 and a doctorate of physical therapy through EIM Institute of Health Professions in 2018. He and his wife, Debra, have one daughter, Victoria Morgan.
