Dr. Michael Yorio is in his 11th season as the team's internal medicine physician. He is responsible for all matters dealing with illnesses and non-orthopaedic injuries.
Dr. Yorio is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine. He sees patients at the San Marco office of Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute. Prior to arriving in Jacksonville, Dr. Yorio served as the director of player medical services for the U.S. Open Tennis Championships in Flushing Meadows, N.Y. He was also team physician for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League and has served as team physician for the University of Maryland at College Park, Hofstra University and Molloy College.
