Dr. Kevin Kaplan is in his 11th season as the Jaguars' head team physician after serving as the Jaguars' associate orthopaedic surgeon from 2009-13. He is responsible for all orthopedic matters dealing with injuries to the musculoskeletal system.
Dr. Kaplan is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery with a specialty certification in sports medicine and maintains a private practice at the San Marco location of the Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases and a fellowship at the Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. During his fellowship, Dr. Kaplan served as an assistant team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Kings and Anaheim Ducks.
He is a member of the NFL Physician Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Kaplan is also a team physician for the Jacksonville Sharks, Jacksonville University and Atlantic Coast High School.
