DeJuan Polk was hired by the Jaguars as the team's assistant director of pro personnel on March 1, 2016. In 2023, Polk was promoted to director of pro scouting.
Polk is in his ninth season with the Jaguars after spending the previous 10 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2006-15), most recently as the pro personnel coordinator in 2015. Prior to serving as pro personnel coordinator, Polk spent three seasons (2012-14) as the director of pro scouting, where he oversaw all aspects of the pro scouting department, including preparation for free agency, advance scouting of upcoming opponents, management of the waiver wire and the evaluation of all players in the NFL and other professional leagues.
During the 2008 season, Polk served as a college scout for the Falcons, covering the Midwest region and conferences such as the Big Ten and Mid-American Conference. Polk began his tenure with the Falcons in 2006 as a pro personnel assistant, coordinating free agent workouts, maintaining the "short-list" and scouting future opponents.
In 2005, Polk served as the defensive tackles coach at South Carolina State. He spent the 2004 season as a Defensive Graduate Assistant at Clemson University following a four-year career (1999-2003) as a defensive tackle. He was team captain of the 2003 team. Polk and his wife, Katrina, have one daughter, Yara, and one son, Wynston.
