Chad Johnson serves as the Jaguars' Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for a diverse cross-section of club priorities ranging from ticket sales to stadium operations to content creation and beyond. He was promoted to COO in 2022 after a decade of service to the organization.
Johnson originally joined the Jaguars as vice president of sales in May 2012 and was promoted to senior vice president of sales and service in February 2013, overseeing ticketing and guest services. His responsibilities grew in 2017 with the opening of Daily's Place amphitheater adjacent to EverBank Stadium. Since the opening, Johnson has overseen the booking and execution of more than 175 concerts and welcomed more than 875,000 music fans to the brand-new venue. In 2018 he was named Chief Content Officer.
In 2021, Johnson's role expanded again to include oversight of the Jaguars full slate of content creators across the marketing, broadcast and events departments. His teams are responsible for all content across Jaguars social and digital channels and the complete game day experience at EverBank Stadium. Johnson also took on management of the stadium operations, including food, beverage, merchandise and facilities. In 2022, he added international operations to his plate, overseeing the team's continued presence in the UK playing one game annually in London.
Prior to joining the Jaguars, Johnson spent a decade overseeing sales and service for multiple professional sports franchises including the Miami Marlins, the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Johnson, who is originally from Chicago, graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. He and his wife, Mary Beth, live in Atlantic Beach with daughters Victoria, Samantha, Cate and Janie.
