Trevor Mendelson enters his first season in Jacksonville as an offensive assistant in 2025.
Previously, Mendelson served as offensive line coach at Western Michigan in 2023 before being promoted to co-offensive coordinator in addition to his role with the offensive line in 2024. 
Under Mendelson in 2024, Western Michigan's offense produced 4,810 yards of total offense, averaging 370.0 yards per game. The Broncos' 48 total touchdowns, 28 rushing touchdowns and 28.9 points per game ranked second in the MAC. G Addison West finished the season as the highest-rated player in FBS per Pro Football Focus with a grade of 96.9, earning consensus First-Team All-American honors and First-Team All-MAC honors. West was named an Outland Trophy semifinalist, awarded annually to the best college football interior lineman. Additionally, the Broncos' rushing unit recorded 2,649 yards and averaged 183.0 yards per game, ranking third in the MAC in both categories. RB Jaden Nixon rushed for 919 yards and 12 touchdowns on 143 carries—all single-season career-highs—ranking second in rushing touchdowns and fifth in rushing yards in the MAC.
In 2023, Mendelson's line helped consensus Freshman All-American RB Jalen Buckley produce 1,003 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. C Jacob Gideon was named First-Team All-MAC and was rated the top center in the MAC by Pro Football Focus, while G Addison West earned Third-Team All-MAC honors. 
Before his tenure at Western Michigan, Mendelson spent two seasons at Notre Dame where he served as senior offensive analyst, as well as assistant offensive line coach (2021-22). The Irish posted a 20-6 record, capturing a Gator Bowl title in 2022 and a Fiesta Bowl appearance in 2021, and finished the 2021 season ranked fifth in the CFP poll. During Mendelson's two seasons at Notre Dame, the offense averaged 33.5 points per game and rushed for 189 yards per game.
Prior to his time in South Bend, Mendelson spent the 2020 season as the tight ends coach at the University of Richmond. During his stint with the Spiders, Mendelson helped coach the team to a 3-1 record in the shortened COVID spring season. Mendelson coached CAA First Team All-Conference TE John Fitzgerald, who finished the four-game season with 14 catches for 131 yards and one touchdown.
Mendelson arrived at Richmond after serving as an offensive graduate assistant for Wake Forest (2018-19), particularly working with the offensive line. During his two seasons with the Demon Deacons, the offense averaged 32.0 points per game. The Deacons appeared in two consecutive bowl games, defeating Memphis in the 2018 Birmingham Bowl and playing in the 2019 Pinstripe Bowl. Over the course of the two seasons, Mendelson aided the development of two NFL Draft picks: OL Phil Haynes (fourth round of the 2019 Draft) and OL Justin Herron (sixth round of the 2020 Draft).
He spent one season as run game coordinator/offensive line coach at Glenville State College in West Virginia (2017), also mentoring the Pioneers' tight end group. Under his leadership, the Glenville State offensive line paved the way for RB Dominique Gibson to rush for more than 1,000 yards. Additionally, Mendelson guided C Caleb Doak to All-Mountain East Conference Second-Team honors.
Mendelson got his start coaching for two seasons as an offensive line graduate assistant at Marshall University (2015-16). While at Marshall, he helped coach two All-Conference performers in OL Michael Selby and OL Sebastian Johansson. During the 2015 campaign, Marshall defeated UCONN in the St. Petersburg Bowl, finishing the year with their third-consecutive 10-win season.  
The Dublin, Ohio, native was a three-year letterman as an offensive lineman at Marshall and played in 33 career games (12 starts). He started his senior season at left tackle on an offensive line that helped lead the Herd to a Conference USA championship and a victory in the Boca Raton Bowl. Mendelson was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team and was also named Marshall's Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2014.
Mendelson earned his bachelor's degree in finance in 2013 and his master's in business administration from Marshall in 2015. He was a 2010 graduate of Dublin Jerome High School.
He and his wife, Erica, have one daughter, Birdie.
