Julian Whitehead enters his second season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Jaguars in 2025.
Before coming to Jacksonville, Whitehead served three seasons as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Utah State's football team (2021-23) and made a brief stop at Indiana University (2024).
In his final season with the Aggies in 2023, Whitehead helped Utah State to six wins and its third-straight bowl game. The Aggies had three players receive All-American honors, while nine players received All-Mountain West accolades.
During the 2022 campaign, USU tied for second place in the Mountain Division of the Mountain West with a 5-3 mark. The Aggies had nine players earn various All-Conference accolades, including a pair of All-Americans.
In his first season at Utah State, Whitehead helped the Aggies to their best season in school history as they tied the school record with 11 wins (11-3), won their first-ever Mountain West Championship with a 46-13 victory at No. 19 San Diego State, posted a 24-13 win against Oregon State in the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl and finished the season ranked 24th in the nation in both polls.
Whitehead came to Utah State after spending the 2020 season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for South Carolina's football team where he worked with 13 NFL draft picks. Whitehead also spent four years as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Ole Miss football (2016-19) where he worked with 22 NFL draftees, as well as stops at Middle Tennessee, Kent State and a private training facility in Atlanta.
A native of Stone Mountain, Ga., Whitehead is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), a Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting (USAW) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He resides in Jacksonville with his wife, Michaela.
