Volunteers from VyStar Credit Union and the Jaguars teamed up with Florida Avenue, Main Street and OutEast residents to tackle phase three of the transformation of Buster Ford Checkerboard Park, located in the Historic Eastside community. Volunteers planted 280 plants and flowers, laid 95 units of mulch and gravel, and cleaned storefronts along the APR corridor!

DUVAL IS FOR ALL! The Jacksonville Jaguars were proud to participate in the River City Pride Parade on Sunday, September 29, 2024. The Jaguars LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, P.A.W. (Pride at Work), brought together Jaxson de Ville, the D-Line, THE ROAR, colleagues, friends and family for a beautiful day of celebration and inclusion.

On 9/04, the Jaguars celebrated the grand opening of The Corner at Debs Store in Jacksonville's Historic Eastside. This North Florida Goodwill initiative provides fresh, affordable food and career services through the GoodCareers Center. Originally serving the community since 1911, the Debs Store closed in 2011, leaving the neighborhood without a walkable grocer. The 2024 revival, supported by the Debs family, Goodwill, LIFT JAX, the City of Jacksonville, the Jaguars, Vystar and others, includes a new computer lab funded by the Jaguars Foundation.

Jaguars Legend Lonnie Marts founded the non-profit organization as his passion for sports and youth ignited a desire to impact the next generation of athletes. The class provides an opportunity for young men of color from single-family homes to learn life skills that set them up for success on and off the field.

As proud sponsors of this year's Jax River City Pride Parade, Jaguars staff enjoyed a memorable day being one of the nearly 100 floats and businesses involved in this years parade festivities! Throughout the parade, our staff handed out fans, footballs, beads and candy, while the D-Line spread the "Duuuval" cheer through the historic neighborhood of Jacksonville.

Coach Gilbert thanks our educators for the impactful work they are doing in the classrooms during training camp. In partnership with the Jacksonville Public Education Fund and the Players Coalition, we hosted more than 100 teachers, community members and education leaders for practice and huddled afterwards to speak on topics of leadership and the pathway to getting 1,000 male diverse teachers in the classroom by 2025!

The Jaguars teamed up with Stahl-Meyer to bring an unforgettable end of the school year celebration to Long Branch Elementary School students in OUTEAST by providing a fun packed field day filled with inflatable obstacle courses, QB Skills Challenge, games, Stahl-Meyer hot dogs and a special visit from Jaxson-de-Ville and The ROAR.

Mark Lamping, the President of the Jaguars, along with Jaxson-de-Ville and members of THE ROAR, participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the reopening of the newly refurbished playground. The event was organized in collaboration with LIFT JAX, the Historic Eastside CDC, Florida Blue, and several other essential community partners as part of the Jaguars and Shad Khan's original $1 million contribution towards OUTEAST. Additionally, Jaguars PREP organized a youth football camp for the local children as a gesture of community outreach.
