The Jaguars are optimistic the knee injury wide receiver Ernest Wilford sustained in Tuesday morning's practice is minor in nature. That's the preliminary report offered by head coach Jack Del Rio.
Wilford was in the process of catching a pass from quarterback David Garrard when he injured his knee. Wilford was executing a curl-type route and was dropping to the ground to make the catch when the injury occurred. He appeared to have jammed his left knee against the turf. He was assisted from the field and left the complex on a cart.
Jaguars.com will provide further information on Wilford's condition when it's available.
