The Jaguars will conduct a scrimmage at 7:30 p.m. inside Jacksonville Municipal Stadium on Friday, Aug. 1. The scrimmage is free and open to the public. Brian Sexton, Jeff Lageman and Cole Pepper will broadcast the scrimmage live on WOKV AM & FM (690, 106.5) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Free parking will be available in Lots M, N, J, C & D. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and fans must enter through Gates 1, 2 or 4.
The 2008 ROAR of the Jaguars will perform, as well as the D-Line. Special appearances will be made by Jaxson de Ville and the Jax Pack. A brief autograph session with the complete roster of players will immediately follow the scrimmage. Gatorade will be collecting donations for the "Beat the Heat" Safety Awareness Program benefiting Kendrick Fincher Foundation. Immediately following the scrimmage, there will be a performance by the Boogie Freaks in the South End Zone area of the stadium.
The new 2008 Jaguars merchandise will be available, as well as specially priced concessions, which include $2 draft beer, soft drinks and water. The Bud Zone and Sky Lounge will be open to the public. Fans wanting to upgrade to VIP seating in the MPS Group Terrace Suite can visit homefieldevents.com.
Season tickets and Half-Packs for the 2008 season will be available during the scrimmage, as well as at every practice session throughout training camp.
For fans attending practice sessions, video cameras and laptop computers are strictly prohibited, as well as horns, whistles and other noisemakers. Still cameras are allowed.
