JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed DL Adam Gotsis, the team announced today.
Gotsis, 6-4, 290, enters his seventh season in the NFL and third with Jacksonville after initially being drafted by Denver in the second round (63rd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. He has played in 89 games, making 45 starts and has tallied 173 total tackles, including 19 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks. Gotsis has also recorded 16 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Gotsis is the highest-drafted Australian-born player in NFL history.
In 2021 with the Jaguars, Gotsis appeared in 16 games and recorded 27 tackles, including six tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks.
The Melbourne, Australia native attended Georgia Tech from 2012-15. Gotsis played in 48 games (37 starts), totaling 110 tackles (69 solo), 12.5 sacks, two INTs, two fumble recoveries and four blocked kicks for the Yellow Jackets.
