Roster Moves: Jaguars Make Multiple Moves Ahead of Week 4 vs. Texans

JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have made the following roster moves the team announced today:

  • Signed TE Josiah Deguara to the 53-man roster
  • Placed LB Foye Oluokun on the reserve/injured list
  • Elevated CB Christian Braswell and LB Tanner Muse to the active roster for tomorrow's game via standard elevation
  • Downgraded S Darnell Savage from questionable to out. He will not travel with the team to Houston.

Deguara was originally drafted by Green Bay in the third round (94th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played in 50 games in four seasons with the Packers (2020-23) and recorded 47 receptions for 436 yards and two touchdowns. In March 2024, Deguara joined the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent, and in August, he signed with the team's practice squad. Deguara was elevated to the active roster via standard elevation for Week 3 at Buffalo, notching a reception for eight yards in the game. The Folsom, Calif., native played collegiately at the University of Cincinnati (2015-19), where he appeared in 46 games and posted 92 receptions for 1,117 yards and 12 touchdowns. In his final season as a Bearcat, he earned first team All-AAC honors.

Braswell was drafted by the Jaguars out of Rutgers in the sixth round (202nd overall) of the 2023 Draft. In 2023, the Washington, D.C. native played in three games before spending the remainder of the season on the injured reserve list. This season, he has appeared in two games and posted five total tackles.

Muse was drafted by Las Vegas in the third round (100th overall) of the 2020 Draft. After his rookie season with the Raiders (2020), Muse played in 33 games across three seasons with Seattle (2021-22) while on the team's practice squad and the Los Angeles Chargers' active roster (2023). Muse joined the Jaguars in 2024 as an unrestricted free agent, signing with the team's practice squad in August. Prior to the NFL, the Belmont, N.C., native played four seasons at Clemson. In 59 career games, he recorded 237 tackles (10.5 for loss), 15 passes defensed, 4.0 sacks, seven interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery that was returned for a 63-yard touchdown.
