JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have claimed RB Darrell Henderson Jr. off of waivers from the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced today. Additionally, the team waived OL John Miller.
Henderson has appeared in 50 career games (28 starts) from 2019-22, all with the Los Angeles Rams. The fourth-year running back has rushed 396 times for 1,742 yards and 13 TDs, including a career-high 688 yards in 2021. He scored eight TDs in 2021 – five rushing and three receiving.
Originally from Batesville, Miss., Henderson attended Memphis and rushed 431 times for 3,545 yards and 36 TDs. In 2018, Henderson rushed for 22 TDs, tied for the second-most in the NCAA behind RB Travis Etienne Jr. (24 rushing touchdowns). He attended South Panola High School in Batesville, Miss. and rushed for 5,801 yards in his high school career.
