While Blake Bortles was being announced as the Jacksonville Jaguars' first pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, on the other side of the Atlantic three of the class of 2013 were bringing a taste of the Draft excitement to the UK.
Jaguars players Johnathan Cyprien, Dwayne Gratz and Denard Robinson have fond memories of the Draft having all been selected as Jaguars last year. This year, they swapped New York for London as they flew over to support the franchise's ever-growing popularity in the UK.
The trio were in high demand from the British media and only a few hours after landing on the runway they were already appearing on Sky Sports News, Sky Sports 1, talkSPORT and BBC Radio London to discuss all things Draft. NFL fans also had the chance to have their questions answered as two of the players took part in a live online Q&A with the Guardian.
It wasn't just the players who had been speaking to the UK media either. Coach Bradley had earlier taken time out of his busy schedule preparing for the pressures of the Draft weekend to speak with the Metro and the London Evening Standard about the Jaguars' plans and the Draft in general.
Cyprien, Gratz and Robinson also wowed the crowds on the red carpet as they attended the annual BT Sports Industry Awards on the Thursday evening, joining in the celebrations as 'NFL on Regent Street' was named Best Live Experience.
The players were soon joined by six of THE ROAR of the Jaguars cheerleaders as they attended Saturday's 'Jaguars LIVE @ Westfield.' The event saw the Jaguars become the first NFL team to take over Westfield Stratford City as thousands of shoppers were treated to exclusive signings from the players, cheerleader performances, interactive games and live photo booths.
Selected competition winners were also given the opportunity to watch a private screening of new film Draft Day which has not been released in UK cinemas whilst 25 young girls got the chance to learn how to cheerlead in the Junior ROAR Academy.
One lucky Jaguars fan, along with three of his friends, even got to have lunch with the players as they were hosted by Nando's in Westfield Stratford City.
While the players flew back early Sunday morning to re-join their teammates to prepare for pre-season, THE ROAR were whisked off to perform for rugby fans at Twickenham Stadium live on Sky Sports during the Marriott London Sevens.
And the gifts for the Jaguars UK fans haven't ended there as there is still a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win a trip to Jacksonville, Florida to see the Jaguars play at the EverBank Stadium.
