The Jacksonville Jaguars today waived seven players to get down to the NFL's 53-player limit. Waived were: RB David Allen, CB Chris Brown, QB Quinn Gray, RB Elvis Joseph, LB Curtis Randall, WR Jimmy Redmond and C Brett Romberg.
Joseph and Redmond were veterans; Allen and Gray were first-year veterans; and Brown, Randall and Romberg were undrafted rookies.
With the roster moves, all nine of the Jaguars' 2003 draft choices are on the initial 53-man roster. And the four undrafted rookies is an all-time high for an opening day Jaguars roster.
The Jaguars will be able to sign five players to their practice squad after 12:00 noon on Monday.
