JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars are working again in the community.

This time, they're providing new home uniforms to athletic programs at local schools whose names were changed Tuesday by the Duval County School Board.

"The Jaguars are committed to supporting after-school athletics and are honored to provide new uniforms for students to wear proudly this fall and beyond," the team said in a statement.

The Jaguars will provide home uniforms for the boys and girls athletic teams at the newly-named Westside Middle School, Springfield Middle School, Charger Academy and Riverside High School. Sports that uniforms will be provided include baseball, football, softball, basketball, soccer, swimming, track, golf, volleyball, cheerleading, tennis, wrestling and cross country.

The schools were previously named for prominent Confederate leaders.
