Tony Moll, and unrestricted free agent from the Baltimore Ravens, has signed a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Length and terms of the contract are undisclosed. The Jaguars roster is now at the 90-man limit, with Moll becoming the seventh unrestricted free agent to join the team since training camp began.
Moll, 6-5, 315, is in his sixth NFL season after beginning his career as a fifth-round draft choice of the Green Bay Packers in 2006. After three seasons with the Packers Moll was traded to the Baltimore Ravens in 2009, playing the 2009-10 seasons in Baltimore. The versatile Moll has played in 60 games in his career, in addition to four postseason games, with 21 starts. His starts have been at right guard (12), right tackle (seven) and tight end (two).
The 27-year-old Moll is a native of Sonoma, Calif. He attended the University of Nevada where he was a four-year-letterman as a tight end and offensive lineman. He was a teammate in Green Bay with current Jaguars Aaron Kampman and Jason Spitz.
Moll is expected to play in Thursday night's preseason opener against the New England Patriots. He will wear jersey number 79.Â
