JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed rookie CB Dwayne Thomas, the club announced today. To make room on the roster, the team waived rookie CB Ezra Robinson.
Thomas, 6-0, 201, was originally signed as an undrafted rookie by the Patriots on May 5, 2017. Thomas was waived by New England on Aug. 11. He attended Louisiana State University where he was teammates with Jacksonville fourth overall selection, RB Leonard Fournette. During his career in Baton Rouge, Thomas appeared in 41 games over his five-year career and posted 110 career tackles, 5.5 sacks, two INTs, 20 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Thomas will wear No. 29 for the Jaguars.
The Jaguars currently have 90 players on their active roster.
