Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley and Jaguars Foundation team up for "Jags Teen Talk"

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – "Jags Teen Talk: Game Plan For Success" is an initiative of the Jaguars Foundation, Beaver Street Fisheries and Jacksonville-area media to communicate to teens positive pathways to be successful in life.  The 30-minute educational program will air on all Jacksonville regional broadcast stations between September 1 and September 19.  This year's program features Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley alongside Jaguars players and members of The ROAR.

This Emmy Award-winning program is in its 16th year of production.  The television show addresses the many aspects of teen development and promotes a positive approach to the challenges they face growing up in today's society.  Teen Talk promotes communication between teens and their parents in an effort to put a "Game Plan for Success" into action.

"The Jaguars appreciate the unique partnership with all of our regional media partners that allows us to share this important message to teens," said Jaguars Foundation President Peter Racine.  "The show's practical recommendations and guidelines are useful to both teens and their parents.  We encourage them to watch the show together."

This year's Jags Teen Talk television show highlights four local high school teens as they navigate an "insider's pass" through EverBank Field.  They first meet with the show's host, Jaguars long snapper Carson Tinker.  The teens then visit with President of Innovations Learning Amy Morales who breaks down the science behind teenage behavior and decision-making by explaining the fascinating development of the adolescent brain.  Morales encourages teens to use this important self-knowledge to help them make position choices and avoid risky behavior that can lead to life-changing negative consequences.

Armed with their new information, the teens head to the Jaguars locker room to get advice from Tinker and teammate Michael Bennett.  Then it's on to the Jaguars TV studio to meet with Taylor Rodd and Chloe Taylor from The ROAR of the Jaguars.  The show's highlight is a visit to the office of Head Coach Gus Bradley.  He shares his parenting philosophy and lessons learned in life that he and his wife Michaela Bradley are passing on to their four children, two of whom are teenagers.

Through an unprecedented 16-year partnership with Jacksonville media, the "Jags Teen Talk: Game Plan For Success" will air on all local network affiliates, including WJCT 7 (PBS), WJXT 4 (Ind.), WCWJ 17 (CW), WTLV 12/WJXX 25 (NBC/ABC), WFOX-TV 30/WJAX-TV 47(FOX/CBS).  The 30-minute program will also be available on XFINITY On Demand by searching "Jags Teen Talk" using your remote.  This year's show was produced by WJCT, Public Television's local affiliate, and the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation.  Other media partners include The Florida Times-Union, Jacksonville.com and Clear Channel Outdoor.
