Jacksonville will play its final game before a Week 9 bye against a familiar opponent, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Outside of the Texans, Colts and Titans, the Jaguars have played no other team more times in franchise history (25 times) than Pittsburgh.
In the Jaguars' last regular season trip to Pittsburgh, they defeated the Steelers 30-9. The defense forced five turnovers in a dominating performance. The Jaguars are coming off a stretch where they will have won four games in 19 days.
Head Coach Doug Pederson spoke about the team's recent travels, "My credit goes to the players for how they handled the last three weeks and really locked in. Whether we were doing a walk through or a full practice, the mental side of the game. There's still mistakes out there being made but overall, from a team perspective, definitely pleased with how they've handled the last three and a half weeks."
