Jacksonville is set to host its first division rival of the 2023 season this Sunday when the Houston Texans come to Duval. The Jaguars have a streak of four straight divisional opponent wins dating back to last season. The game will be broadcast on FOX with Chris Myers (play-by-play), Robert Smith (analyst) and Jen Hale (sideline reporter) on the call. In their last matchup, the Jaguars defeated Houston 31-3 behind a dominant defensive effort.
Earlier this week, Head coach Doug Pederson spoke about the defense's early season success.
"I think that's just a credit to the scheme, what Mike (Caldwell) is doing, utilizing the personnel this year. You're seeing Travon and Josh up their game a little bit on the edge. The secondary is more in-sync this year, just the communication has been better. They're playing faster, they're stymying the run and shutting that down."
