RIK_8066

JACKSONVILLE – The pads stayed on, and it stayed hot.

The Jaguars on Thursday morning held their final open practice of 2019 Training Camp, working in pads for the third time and for a second time in as many days. They did so on a second consecutive warm day, working in 87 temperatures on Day 7 at the Dream Finders Homes Complex adjacent to TIAA Bank Field.

The Jaguars worked in goal-line situations late in Thursday's practice. They also focused on other situational work such as two-minute drills and hurry-up field-goal conversion.

Former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, a five-time NFL Most Valuable Player, attended practice at the invitation of Jaguars Executive Vice President of Football Operations Tom Coughlin. Manning was expected to speak to the team Thursday afternoon.

Head Coach Doug Marrone spoke to the media before practice Thursday, and first-round rookie edge defender Josh Allen spoke to the media following practice. Coverage of those availability can be found on jaguars.com Thursday.

The Jaguars are scheduled to practice in a scrimmage-type situation inside TIAA Bank Field at 8 a.m. Friday. That practice is closed to the public, but open to Jaguars sponsors.

Linebacker Jake Ryan (knee) remains on the Reserve/Non-Football injury list. Cornerback A.J. Bouye and running back Thomas Rawls also remained on the side with hamstring soreness.

Defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, cornerback Jalen Ramsey and center Brandon Linder for what Marrone called cautionary reasons; Marrone said all easily could have practiced Thursday. Rookie tight end Michael Colubiale reported concussion symptoms following Wednesday's practice and is in the concussion protocol; he likely won't make the trip to Baltimore next week for a pair of joint practices and the preseason opener, Marrone said.
