James Harris
Vice President of Player Personnel

James Harris, vice president of player personnel for the Jaguars since early 2003, is affectionately known as “Shack” to almost everyone familiar with him. Harris is responsible for all player acquisitions, including the annual college draft, free agency, undrafted player signings and the scouting and signing of players from other professional leagues.

Gene Smith
Executive Director, College and Pro Personnel

Gene Smith was promoted to executive director, college and pro personnel this past January. He’ll lead a staff of eleven scouts and assume the responsibilities of both the college and pro departments. His duties include the scouting and evaluation of hundreds of college and pro players on an annual basis, and the continued orchestration of the college draft process, along with directing pro free agency.

Louis Clark
Assistant Director, Pro Personnel

Louis Clark was promoted to assistant director, pro personnel on May 13, 2003, after serving as a college scout for the Jaguars since 1997. A former wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers, Clark handles the advance scouting, and also assists in college player evaluation.

Larry Wright
Assistant Director, Pro Personnel

Larry Wright Jr. joined the Jaguars on February 1, 2003. As assistant director, pro personnel, Wright is responsible for evaluating players on NFL rosters, street free agents, college players, as well as players in other professional football leagues. He also assists in coordinating unrestricted free agency coverage and assisting in advanced scouting of Jaguars' opponents.

Terry McDonough
National Scout

Terry McDonough was promoted to national scout on May 30, 2008. He scouts the top collegiate players throughout the region. Additionally, McDonough does crosschecks, attends all major all-star practices and selective spring player workouts of the top draft-eligible players. He also has some additional pro personnel responsibilities.

Tim Mingey
Executive Scout

Tim Mingey has been with the Jaguars since 1994, serving as a college scout for nine years before being named executive scout in 2003. He has the responsibility of scouting the southeast region of the United States.

Art Perkins
Executive Scout

Art Perkins is in his sixth season with the Jaguars, joining as their west coast regional scout on May 13, 2003. He begins his second season as an executive scout of the west region, scouting the top collegiate players throughout the region.

Andy Dengler
Executive Scout

Andy Dengler has been a Jaguars college scout since 1998. Since 2003, he has been responsible for scouting the midwest United States. Dengler joined the Jaguars from the National Football Scouting combine, where he was an area scout in the northeast and mid-Atlantic regions the previous four years. He has some additional pro personnel responsibilities as well.

Chris Driggers
Regional Scout

Chris Driggers is in his eleventh year in scouting and 14th year overall with the Jaguars. He has been a college scout for nine years following two years as a scouting assistant and three years in football operations. He scouts the southwest United States for the Jaguars and has some additional pro personnel responsibilities.

Marty Miller
Regional Scout

Marty Miller is in his seventh season with the Jaguars, joining the organization on February 21, 2002. He begins his second season as the West Coast regional scout for the Jaguars. As well as covering the West Coast, he has some additional pro personnel responsibilities scouting select free agents on NFL rosters.

Chris Prescott
Regional Scout

Chris Prescott was promoted to regional scout on May 18, 2008 after serving as a pro/college scout for the 2007 season. He has been with the department since 2002. He is responsible for the northeast region, evaluating college players from Maine down to North Carolina. He is responsible for three NFL teams including the evaluation of their unrestricted NFL free agents. He also works with and hosts draft-eligible players’ visits in the spring.

Jason DesJarlais
BLESTO Scout

Jason DesJarlais joined the Jaguars as their BLESTO scout for the southeast area on May 18, 2007. Prior to joining the Jaguars, DesJarlais was the Special Teams Coordinator/Defensive Assistant at Yale University. While at Yale, Jason served as an intern for scouting during the Jaguars 2006 Training Camp.

Scouting Assistant, College/Pro Personnel

Jake Peetz was named Scouting Assistant, College/Pro Personnel on May 27, 2008. His duties include assisting in the day-to-day operations of the scouting department.
