JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars have added more depth to their interior offensive line.

They have added more experience, too, signing fourth-year veteran offensive lineman Patrick Omameh late Thursday afternoon.

Omameh (6-feet-4, 305 pounds), who originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Francisco 49ers following the 2013 NFL Draft, has started 25 of 30 career games with San Francisco, Tampa Bay and Chicago. Twenty-four of his starts have come at right guard with one at left guard.

Omameh, who played collegiately at the University of Michigan, started all 16 games at right guard for Tampa Bay in 2014 and played in 14 games with nine starts for Chicago last season. Eight of his starts came at right guard last season with one at left guard.

A.J. Cann is projected to start at one guard positon for the Jaguars next season, with former starting guard Brandon Linder projected to move to center and start there. Other possibilities at the other guard spot include Luke Joeckel or Kelvin Beachum, who are expected to compete for the starting left-tackle job in training camp. Tyler Shatley, Mackenzy Bernadeau, Chris Reed and Kadeem Edwards are also on the roster at guard.

The Jaguars also released first-year offensive lineman Patrick Miller Thursday.
