The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed sixth-year WR Bryan Walters, the club announced today.
Walters, 6-0, 192, has appeared in 42 career games with four starts. Prior to signing with Jacksonville on March 13, 2015, Walters previously spent time with San Diego, Minnesota and Seattle. Walters won a Super Bowl in 2014 with the Seahawks and returned two punts for six yards in the Super Bowl XLIV victory. In 2016, Walters recorded 24 receptions for 231 yards and two TDs while also returning 17 punts for 86 yards. For his career, Walters has totaled 65 receptions for 683 yards and three TDs.
Walters, 29, played four years at Cornell University (2007-10) and became the first Big Red alumnus to sign an NFL contract since Kevin Boothe in 2006. At the conclusion of his senior year, Walters was named second-team All-Ivy League as a receiver and return specialist. A native of Bothell, Wash., Walters attended Juanita (Wash.) High School and was a three-time all-league selection at wide receiver and defensive back.
