JACKSONVILLE – Three down, four remain.

Just a week has passed since the 2016 NFL Draft and the Jaguars already have signed three of their seven selections.

Jonathan Woodard, a defensive end from the University of Central Arkansas, on Saturday afternoon became the third 2016 draft selection to sign with the team. Terms and duration of the contract were not disclosed.

"It's honestly just crazy to see all of my dreams come to fruition, and to be part of the Jacksonville Jaguars officially," Woodard said late Saturday afternoon. "I'm just ready to take the next step, make the team and get going.

"There's more work to be done, and I have to stay humble throughout the process and keep working."

Woodard (6-feet-6, 271 pounds), the No. 226 selection in the draft, registered 174 tackles in four collegiate seasons, setting school records with 30.5 sacks and 53 tackles for loss. He was a Southland Conference All-Conference first-team selection as a senior.

"It was always a dream I had," Woodard said of playing in the NFL, "but it really didn't become feasible until about my sophomore year. I started playing and getting more confidence in myself. In my sophomore and junior year, I believed it would happen.

"I believed I would get there. Coming from a small school it's a harder road, but I got to see my hard work pay off, hear my name called, sign the paper here and become part of the Jaguars."

Four Jaguars draft selections remain unsigned: first-round cornerback Jalen Ramsey (Florida State), second-round linebacker Myles Jack (UCLA), third-round defensive end Yannick Ngakoue (Maryland) and fourth-round defensive tackle Sheldon Day (Notre Dame).
